How to switch IT provider

Changing IT provider should be calm. We collect access, list what you have, check Microsoft 365, then take over support in a planned handover. The same steps work for businesses anywhere in Scotland or the UK.

Switching IT provider takes four steps: a first call, access and inventory, a Microsoft 365 and security check, then a planned handover to a named Cloud Guard contact.

How to switch IT provider

  1. First call. What is not working, who holds admin access, which buildings, and what must not break.
  2. Access and inventory. We list accounts, devices, backups, domains, and other suppliers before anyone gives notice.
  3. Microsoft 365 and security check. Sign-in, email, devices, and backups, so you do not move into a weaker setup.
  4. Handover. Support moves to a named Cloud Guard contact. Staff get a simple note on how to get help.

Timing depends on the size of the business. A short trial is available so you can see how we work first.

Scotland and UK

A team you can call by name

You get engineers who know your setup, from our three offices in Carluke, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. We support businesses across Scotland and the UK, answer the phone, explain things in plain English, and come on site when it helps.

Questions we are asked

Do I need to tell my current provider first?

Not yet. Get your access details and a list of systems written down first. We can help with that.

Will there be downtime?

We plan the handover so staff can keep working. Most changes happen in the background.
