What is high availability?
HA is the ability to absorb everyday failures: a server, a line, a firewall, or a cloud region. Redundancy, failover, and design mean customers and staff notice less. It suits organisations that must stay up in business hours, run customer-facing platforms, or depend on finance, CRM, ERP, or booking systems.

What is disaster recovery?
DR is how you come back after ransomware, a long outage, serious corruption, or a site loss. It is not “we have a backup”. It needs recovery priorities, targets for downtime and data loss, a safe restore path, and regular tests.
RTO and RPO
Recovery Time Objective is how quickly systems must return. Recovery Point Objective is how much data loss the business can accept. We set both against your operations.
How we deliver
- Availability and risk review: apps, hosting, current backups, single points of failure, cyber risk to recovery.
- Business impact and recovery planning: what must stay up, what can wait, who signs off, what downtime really costs.
- HA design: resilient networking, dual connectivity where needed, load balancing, clustered hosts, application failover, database reliability, and Azure building blocks when that is the platform.
- DR setup: backups that are secure, separated, and monitored; replication when targets are tight.
- Testing: restore, data consistency, access, clarity of the runbook, timings.
- Monitoring and improvement: backup jobs, change review, document updates, incident support, growth planning.
A level that fits
Some firms need stronger backups and tests. Others need replication and a faster return. A few need more than one site. We recommend the level that matches the business, then keep it current as you grow.
