About Cloud Guard Technologies: an independent Scottish IT and cyber security partner
Cloud Guard Technologies Limited is an independent managed IT and cyber security company based in Carluke, Lanarkshire, Scotland. We are registered in Scotland (company number SC732828) and look after businesses across Scotland and the rest of the UK. We are not affiliated with CloudGuard.ai or any other business that uses a similar name, so if you were looking for them, you have the wrong company.
What we do
We provide managed IT support, Microsoft 365, backup and recovery, cyber security, business phones and broadband, print, and custom software. Most of our customers are small and medium-sized businesses that want one team who understands their setup, rather than a different person every time they call.
How we work
We are not a ticket shop. We start by learning how your business runs, then recommend what fits. You get a clear proposal in plain English before any work starts, and a short trial so you can see how we work before you commit.
Security you can check
We are certified to Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus through IASME. You can verify both on the [NCSC certificate search] (IASME Check). We are also a member of the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. Both of our directors are on the out-of-hours rota, so serious problems reach someone who can make decisions.
Who you will deal with
We are a small team, and that is deliberate.
Colin Lambe is Director/Owner at Cloud Guard Technologies, with more than 20 years’ experience in IT. He holds two ISACA certifications: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM, 2026) and Advanced in AI Security Management (AAISM, 2026). On the Microsoft side he has passed the SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect and AZ-305 Azure infrastructure design exams, and holds Microsoft’s Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect credential (valid to April 2027). He leads our security and Microsoft 365 and Azure work, and he reviews the technical content we publish.
Douglas Finlayson is our business relationship manager at Cloud Guard Technologies. He works with clients from the first conversation through to ongoing support, listening to what the business needs before recommending a solution, and building partnerships on trust and plain-English advice and,
Mark Lang is a full stack developer at Cloud Guard Technologies with more than ten years of experience. He has worked across classic languages such as PHP and modern JavaScript frameworks including Angular and React. He is also the creator of Red, an open-source PHP MVC framework (view on GitHub).
Where we are
Our headquarters are in Carluke, Lanarkshire, with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. We support customers remotely anywhere in the UK and visit sites across Scotland.
